Joseph Reginald Perez, M.D.
Dr. Perez received his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University in College Station, medical degree from the University of Texas at Houston in the Texas Medical Center and his residency was completed at Scott & White Hospital in Temple.
His fellowship in asthma, allergies, and immunology was completed at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City.
Dr. Perez has published research in the prestigious medical journal Nature Medicine and contributed to research featured in theSmithsonian Magazine. He has published abstracts for both the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.
Dr. Perez enjoys cycling and rides the MS150 from Houston to Austin every year. He also keeps active by teaming up for the Brazosport Triathlon yearly. His other passion, however, is spending time with his family and coaching soccer teams for two of his sons.
He is board-certified by the American Board of Allergy/Immunology in adult and pediatric allergy/immunology. Dr. Perez is especially mindful of the needs of his allergic patients. Not only does he himself have asthma and allergic rhinitis, but all of his sons have food allergies and eczema. He has learned to deal with the complexities of these diseases not only from his professional training and patient interaction but also from his daily experiences.
He is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association, and the Harris County Medical Society.
